A Blood Moon rises every 26 days. Its malicious glow resurrects monsters and causes blight to become aggressive.
Blood moons are a mechanic within Roots that affects all villages. During a blood moon and the days that follow, all fighting & gathering jobs will roll as usual, but with an increased chance of encountering and fighting dangerous monsters.

The blood moon occurs on the 13th day of every month of the Hyrulean Calendar, and the dates correspond to real dates.

During the Blood Moon and in the days following, monsters will have a much higher encounter rate for all rolling jobs! The village town halls are marked with a red circle (🔴) to signify the danger present.
The monsters that may appear, especially for looting jobs, are often much more dangerous than usual however, and higher tier raid monsters may show up without warning! Proceed with caution!
When a high tiered monster is rolled, please fill out your summary like so before engaging the raid in one of the village RP channels:

Not defeating raid monsters will eventually have consequence, but perhaps future village upgrades may help with this...
