Job Perk:
VEnding

Vending is an active Job Perk Mechanic for the Roots of The Wild. Vending is an important aspect of the roots economy. While tangible money is not something used in this version of Hyrule, payment through the means of trading and favors can be used to gain new items. Characters with this perk can own their own storefront.

Happy Vending!

Buying from a Vendor

Vending is ultimately meant to replace the groups NPC run village shops. Characters will need to strike up a deal with vendors to get gear and materials! Please have this discussion within the characters Shop in the marketplace channel. Once a deal has been made use the following form.

Shop Pouches

There are 3 shop Pouches - This allows Vendor characters to carry more stock within their shops.

Pouches can be purchased when submitting to The Vendors Guild Form. Once purchased, let a @Mod know in the community board channel using the form below. A mod will react with ✅ to confirm the transaction. These pouches must be added to the KEY ITEMS slot of your character's app

✬ SHOP POUCH UPGRADE ✬

VENDOR TYPE: OC NAME has requested to upgrade their shop bag to TYPE via the form

Bronze: 15 items in shop - 1000 tokens

Silver: 30 items in shop - 5000 tokens

Gold: 50 items in shop - 10000 token

Please note: Pouches do not stack. Once you purchase a new one it replaces the previous one. Once you upgrade to Bronze, it replaces your previous starting shop size. You must also have the previous version of these pouches for purchase the next.

  • If a vendor does not have any room in their shop for new items come the following month - they cannot get any new stock from the community board during the restock period.

  •  Shop item stacking. Raw Materials (Ex.Apples, wood, amber) stack up to 10 per slot. Craftable items (Potions, Armor, etc) take up 1 slot per item.

    • 10x apples would take up 1 slot

    • 2x weapons would take up 2 slots.

Vending Continued

  • Vendors can stock up on points. Spending the entire 500 points per month is not required.

  • Any items gained by characters with the vending mechanic can add those items to their shop if they have space. But if a vendor adds a personally gained item to their shop, it's stuck there. The vendor cannot take it back without purchasing it.

  • Credit Collection and Restock for vendors opens the 1st of every month and closes on the 5th.

  • Vendors can set their own prices for merchandise within their shops.

  • Members are allowed to set any of the following as payment for merchandise: Goods to Trade, Tokens from the member, Art from the member

  • If you want payment in some other form please check with the mod team first.

  • A separate sheet for tracking vendor stock must be made. This MUST be separate from inventory tracking. Stock items are merchandise and vendors cannot use or keep these items for their own gain. If they want anything within their stock they must purchase it from their own shop.

  • Vendors can buy items from their own stock but they must buy it at that item's ROTW SELL price. If one of YOUR non vendor characters wants to buy from YOUR vendor character this rule also applies

  • All items in a vendor's shop must have prices before going live.

  • Restock items that are offered to vendors each month can vary/be different. On occasion very rare items can show up in the vending list! These items will be first come first serve! Plan accordingly!

  • If vendor characters change jobs, anything in their stock is forfeit and returned to the town hall

  • Vendors can carry non mechanic based items in their shops to sell. These items will be purely cosmetic and for flavor. These items will still need to be purchased with vending points and will still take up inventory space in the characters shop. Point cost for these custom items can be discussed with mod team

    • Example of custom items: pots, clothing, tools, lanterns, etc
