Oracles. Dragons. Sages
Acolytes

The youngest and least experienced of the oracles, Aemu embodies the spirit of Din. Hailing from Rudania, the Oracle has spent her whole life in the village. Many would say the girl is naïve but has a heart of gold. Living with her two adoptive Gerudo Mother's, Aemu does not know her true lineage. Her biological mother being none other than the previous head of the Sheikah, and her father the infamous one Male Gerudo born every 100 years. Only a select few know the truth of her birth Aemu grew up very loved by her adoptive mothers and the village alike, even meeting the dragon Darune at a young age and causing him to mingle in the affairs of mortals once more. Confident and feisty, the Oracle feels she has a lot to prove and a lot to learn in her role, wanting nothing more than to help the people of her village and eventually rid the world of blight.
Oracle of Power

Elde, the newly awakened Oracle of Courage.. This battle-scarred guardian of the forest and their long-lived fairy have been watching over the forests of Vhintl for little over two-hundred years, being a much more frequent sight to its inhabitants in the last ninety or so since the koroks were given the ability to transform into kokiri by the dying Great Deku Tree. The protective, and downright courageous behaviour they’ve exhibited over their centuries spent guarding the village they’ve come to call home has earned them a good deal of respect and even admiration from villagers in the know, and even more-so from their fellow forest children. Within Vhintl’s korok community, Elde is even recognized as an elder or leader-like figure who can be relied on in times of need. Despite this, they’ve remained elusive to most, favouring the company of forest spirits such as koroks, fairies, that of Foras, the Dragon of Courage with whom they’ve shared a life-long connection.. and the hidden Deku Tree Sprout which they protect. Elde’s proper awakening as Oracle of Courage is an incredibly recent event that occurred while attempting to defend the village during an especially hostile Blood Moon raid, in which they resonated with the other Oracles across Hyrule and learned what they really were. Since then, they’ve been coming to terms with the truth, and learning what powers they possess beyond that of purging blight sickness. Even still, they readily respond blade-in-hand to potential threats reported to them either by villagers or via a network of forest fairies. Now more than ever, they understand that they have a responsibility to keep the forest safe.
Oracle of Courage

Formerly, Nihme was the Sage of Water, acting in the background as an adviser and supporter of the previous Oracle. When the Oracle decided to step down as she felt she could not connect to the spirit of the Goddess Nayru, the role passed on to Nihme. Being a bit of a book-worm, Nihme will from time to time try to slip away from village politics to read or tend to the library, however her new role has placed her in the limelight. This comes with the challenge of relearning how to balance work and personal life. When she’s not hiding her face behind a book, or bookshelf, Nihme volunteers at community centers and at the orphanage. She has no children of her own, but she will go to lengths to dote on those who are younger than her. She’ll cook, mend your clothes, tend to your wounds, and … maybe even read you a bedtime story if you let her. She also checks on the elderly at the village regularly and leads music classes for anyone interested in the village.
Oracle of Wisdom

Dragon of Power and avatar of flame, Darune is the arrogantly selfish guardian of Rudania. Reincarnated from the leftovers of the once great Dinraal, Darune is anything but what they once were. Due to the strain of their position, and their Oracles perishing, among other things, there was a point in time that the dragon went into a deep sleep--leaving the people and the land unprotected and without any Oracle. It would be many years before Darune would be awoken from their slumber, urged awake by the chance meeting of the current Oracle as a child. Because of events that happened in their past, they have become awfully jaded, keeping the mortals of the realm at arms length. More often than not they are hidden away deep in the caldera of Death Mountain, sleeping atop the various metals, precious gems, and miscellaneous trinkets they have accumulated within their long life. Darune is a glorified babysitter for their young Oracle, and much of their time is spent keeping her out of trouble. She brings him in close proximity to the residents of Rudania from time to time, and as much as he claims to dislike mortals he can’t help but feel the need to protect them--to be their warmth in a world full of monsters and blight.

Dragon of Courage

Foras is Vhintl’s own Dragon of Courage, an attention-seeking and unerringly forthright friend of the people. Despite being an instant reincarnation of the last great Dragon of Courage, Farosh, Foras is a creature of the forest, their powers tied to the wind and trees. They have some memories and visions from Farosh’s life, of the old and beautiful pre-Blight Hyrule, and they want to bring back that world more than anything. But due to their free, untethered personality, they aren’t the most responsible individual. They are often out doing as they please instead of directly assisting the village. This is not out of a lack of sympathy or bravery, qualities which they have in spades, but a need to follow their selfish whims. They are also often hung up on many an old feeling, as Foras’s emotional wounds lay fresh for long periods of time. Anyone directly asking them for something will likely get it, however, as Foras aims to please. They are easily motivated by a desire for affection and praise. The Dragon of Courage resides on Angel Peak when in need of a home, overlooking Vhintl’s forests to the west. They are very close to and share a deep bond with their Oracle of Courage, Elde. Individuals far and wide can expect Foras’s bright personality to be a light spot in dark times whenever they are around

Sanskar is the ever elusive Dragon of Wisdom, a powerful being tied with the goddess Nayru. Alive before time immemorial, he holds knowledge about all things in the land of Hyrule and even those beyond. The dragon has gone by many names and has taken many forms, and his personality has been shaped by his experiences throughout his long life. Living atop Mt. Lanayru, he has crafted an ice temple where he lives. Those who wish to seek his knowledge must brave the climb up the snowy peak and request an audience with him. An attendant to the dragon will test the requestor to see if they are even worthy of receiving the dragon’s knowledge. The attendant is crass, pompous, and seems to have quite a bit of fun making idiots of those who come to the temple. Whomever passes may speak with the dragon, who speaks in riddles and metaphors, leaving them to figure out the true answers for themselves. There is a rumor around Inariko however, that if an offering is brought to the dragon, the chance of getting an answer increases. Oracle Nihme from the village has confirmed that the dragon seems especially interested in food, as she has been able to develop a close relationship with the dragon and his attendant.

Sage of Light

The self-styled Warlock Queen of Rudania, Sahira is the Sage of light and one of the few, if any, practitioners of magic known to the world. Her control of this magic is as fickle as the façade she wears, for though she walks and talks like a confident ruler, she is more accurately described as a troubled girl with too great a responsibility. While often indecisive and almost afraid to act as a proper leader, Sahira steps up when truly needed, especially as one of the few who can banish blight from others. Her compassion and concern for others shines bright, and though she may downplay it when in public, she is never happier than seeing others doing well. When push comes to shove, Sahira will stand tall for her people, even if she needs a pep talk to herself to do it. She is physically strong, though her mind is still her strongest feature Though none take her Warlock Queen title seriously, the magic she wields as Sage of Light can be powerful and marks her as a force to be sure. Just bear in mind, as Sage of Light, when you see her prepping some mighty magical display, perhaps avert your eyes

Ginger-Sage Thistlebriar is a more recent arrival in Vhintl, hailing from a hidden keaton den in the wilds. She’s optimistic, patient and friendly towards all who may approach, and as a herbalist by trade, she’s always willing to support those in her community with expertly made remedies supported by a couple centuries worth of experiences! When not out foraging, she can usually be found living and working out of a tree-hollow home within the elevated tree village. Ginger is also skilled with magic, able to take on a variety of Hylian disguises, but more unusually, she appears to have the ability to manipulate the growth and wellbeing of plants. More than once she’s healed physical wounds by guiding special vines around them! Certainly a keaton blessed by the Goddesses if her elders ever saw one! Yes, she answers to Sage.. Why do you ask?
Sage of Forest

Sage of Water

Over 100 years ago, in Inariko, a group of Gorons came together to build a boat and take it across the dangerous wilds to get to the coast of Hyrule itself. This group managed to make the deadly trip to sea and cast off into the unknown, searching for a new land, free from the blight. Alas, their trip was cursed from the start, and their vessel sank, attacked by a hoard of monsters, no sooner than once land had dipped below the horizon. Korelii, the captain of this ill fated trip, was not slain outright, instead he had been frozen and sunk by the monsters, trapped in the watery depths. After thawing and walking back to shore, Korelii has returned to Inariko as the awakened Sage of Water. Loud, proud, and always here to help, Korelii always has time for his villagers. He does not hide the events of his voyage from people, instead, he attones for it, feeling that because he cost Inariko those Goron lives, he will serve the people of today. Korelii is always available to help, willing to give what someone needs if he can. Though he never shies away from a fight, he’s very cheery and warm, exploding with encouragement and enthusiasm in public. When Korelii needs some quiet time, he likes to simply sit at the bottom of Inariko’s waters, enjoying the peace and serenity of the water.

Sage of Shadow

Sigrid was thought in his early days to be a reclusive youth seeking to aspire to monkhood amongst the sheikah, but his surface truths have recently come to more light. Raised by a blight cultist though unwilling to follow their edicts, he later learned something that gave him more ground behind his convictions - that he was the Sage of Shadow. Some in the village respect him and some avoid him, but these days he has begun to settle in more and make some better connections... Now Sigrid spends much of his time amidst the snowy trees outside of Inariko, fighting monsters, hunting for game animals and keeping peripheral attention on other villagers who stray beyond the promenade so that he may come to their aid should trouble find them in the dangers of the wilds.

Acolyte of Misfortune
Keeta is a recent acolyte of Hylia. Never much a believer until a particularly bad run in with the blight, he is still having a particularly odd time adjusting to the idea that he is an asset to a goddess, or even having a sense of responsibility to anyone other than himself. There is a reluctance in him, but surely Hylia has chosen him for a reason, hopefully.
An Inariko Sheikah born and raised, Keeta is a part of a family that was once considered one the most prominent families known until recent tragedies have left him and his grandmother the last known members of their family name. Keeta is quite the loner and being a hunter affords him enough privacy, though he is mindful to be friendly to people he comes across, whether they buy into it is another story. When he is out in the village it’s usually to find some form of entertainment in the form of schadenfreude, but is hard pressed to find it, but if it’s raining and there are frogs about, he’s nearby. Finding comfort in the company of people is difficult, but in the position he is the more likely he will at least need to learn tolerance. But for now, to whoever it concerns he is simply the Acolyte of Misfortune, what that entails is up to interpretation

Acolyte of Many Faces

As a fairly recent addition to Hylia’s ranks, Yves Itoi is the newly awakened Acolyte of Many Faces. Though belief in Hylia remained in her family even in Vhintl, a hold over from the time her grandmother was an Inariko resident, her practice of Hylia worship and ancestral veneration only recently continued and she attributes this to being the reason she was chosen. However, despite her outward portrayal of confidence, Yves doesn’t know just why she, of all people, was imbued with this role or these abilities and sees it as a punishment moreso than a blessing. A Vhintl native, Yves found her first calling as a mask maker since the death of her grandmother and guardian in her teens. An artist true to her craft, she can be found on most days seeking out berries to use in her mask dyes, preparing fish leather for molding into a piece of art, and sewing away in the village’s House of Masks. Her love for her job is only eclipsed by her love of companionship and the Sheikah can often be seen at Katusha’s Cafe Bar or festivals seeking to meet new friends and catch up with old ones. Though her outspoken nature can be a lot to handle, and abrasive to some, Yves is a kind person that just wants to keep her loved ones and village safe. With her newly gained senses, Yves hopes to understand the blight more and help the oracles and sages prevent it from claiming any more lives.
