Hearts

Hearts are literally your OC’s health points! Everyone starts with three. When an OC gets hurt through group mechanics, they lose hearts and may eventually KO.

  • Starting amount is 3 hearts.

  • If KO'D, characters lose all hearts.

  • As of 6/20/2023 characters no longer fully recover hearts on Sundays.

  • Used in daily looting rolls, blood moon rolls, combat events, and traveling.

  • Characters do not die upon losing all hearts.

Recovery

Characters can recover hearts by utilizing the Healing Job Perk or by consuming health restoring items such as meals, fairies, and elixirs.

KO status can only be healed by fairies, or Healers.

In order to heal your character with an item, please use the /item command, and fill in the required fields.

Stamina

Stamina represents an OC’s ability to perform certain tasks such as cooking, weaving, taming wild mounts, or traveling long distances. Unlike hearts, stamina recovers gradually. It's important for members to manage their Stamina well, as a Blacksmith who just finished forging a sword may not fare as well in catching a horse as a character who's fully rested. Tinglebot will restore Stamina automatically according to the following rules:

  • Starting amount is 5 chunks, or 1 wheel.

  • Recovers naturally once per day, only on days not being used.

  • Does not replenish in full on Sundays.

  • Stamina may also be recovered with Stamina Recovery Items

  • Mount stamina recovers just like player stamina

  • Used in crafting, healing, traveling and mount encounters.

  • Please see below for a graphic that shows examples of how stamina usage and recovery works

If all stamina chunks are used up, you must wait for the chunks to be recovered once per day indicated by the weatherbots new post. No crafting must take place during this time, once a chunk is recovered it may be used right away but recovery is paused until there is a full day cycle of no crafting.

In this instance, after crafting an item that takes all your available stamina you must wait to recover one chunk the next day before it is available to use, you may craft again but will not receive another chunk until the next day, for every day there is no crafting that stamina recovery is secured. If you craft two days in a row, stamina will not recover until the next full day of no crafting.

Again, if a crafted item emptied your available stamina, no crafting must take place for several consecutive days in order to refill all your chunks to full. Use a chunk, wait a day, they will become available again!

Alternatively, if there are several consecutive days of crafting, chunks cannot be recovered until the next full day without crafting.

Attack and Defense Overview

Your character's combat effectiveness is determined by two core stats: Attack and Defense. These stats work together to help you survive, win battles, and secure better rewards.

🗡️ Attack

What It Does:
Determines how effectively you can damage enemies and win encounters.

Where It Comes From:

  • Equipped weapons

  • Each weapon has a modifierHearts value that adds to your total Attack stat

How It Helps:

  • Increases your odds of defeating monsters

  • Boosts damage dealt in raid battles

  • Improves loot quality after successful encounters

🛡️ Defense

What It Does:
Reduces incoming damage and boosts survivability.

Where It Comes From:

  • Armor pieces: head, chest, legs

  • Shields

  • Each piece contributes its modifierHearts value to your total Defense stat

How It Helps:

  • Mitigates damage from monster attacks

  • Enhances endurance in prolonged fights

  • Supports reliable performance across all combat scenarios

⚔️ How Attack & Defense Work Together

🔁 Regular Combat (Looting, Travel, etc.)

Equipment provides chance-based bonuses when actions succeed:

  • Weapons:
Attack Stat × 10 added to your roll (if successful)

  • Armor/Shields:
Defense Stat × 2 added to your roll (if successful)

  • Success Rate:
➤ Higher stats = better chance of triggering equipment bonuses

Example:
A character with 3 Attack and 2 Defense has:

  • 30% chance to get +30 from their weapon

  • 4% chance to get +4 from their armor

🛡️ Raid Combat (Boss Battles)

In raid combat, gear always helps — no randomness involved:

  • Weapons:
➤ Always add Attack Stat × 2.5 to your roll

  • Armor/Shields:
➤ Always add Defense Stat × 1.1 to your roll

Example:
A character with 3 Attack and 2 Defense in a raid gets:

  • +7.5 to their roll from their weapon (guaranteed)

  • +2.2 to their roll from their armor (guaranteed)

🧨 Combat Strategy Breakdown

⚔️ Attack Focus

  • High Attack:
➤ Faster fights, more reliable kills

  • Low Attack:
➤ Slower progress, difficulty against tougher enemies

🛡️ Defense Focus

  • High Defense:
    ➤ Tankier character, more survivability

  • Low Defense:
➤ Vulnerable to damage, risk of being knocked out

🎯 Balanced Approach

  • Moderate Attack & Defense:
➤ Versatile in all combat scenarios
➤ Stable performance during looting, travel, and raids

🎁 Looting & Raid Benefits

🪙 Looting System

  • Higher Stats = Better Rolls:
➤ Equipment improves your adjusted roll value

  • Better Rolls = Better Loot:
➤ Find rare items more consistently with strong gear

  • Well-Equipped Characters Win More:
➤ Better loot outcomes, especially in monster-heavy zones

🧱 Raid System

  • Attack:
➤ Directly affects damage to raid bosses

  • Defense:
➤ Helps you stay alive throughout the raid

  • Both Matter:
➤ High stats contribute to party success and quality of post-raid rewards

💡 Success Tips
