Tokens

Welcome to the Roots of the Wild token system! Tokens are earned through out-of-world contributions and tracked per member, not per character.

💡 In-world, Roots operates on a trade economy. Tokens represent OOC contributions and are used for special rewards, upgrades, and perks.

📋 Token Tracker Template: You can find the official token tracker template here with the tab name loggedTracker.

🎟 Token Tracker Guide

The Token Tracker helps you track earnings, spending, and your current token balance automatically.

📋 Template Structure

  • Your tracker has a loggedTracker tab that logs all token activity.

  • It automatically calculates:
    ✅ Total earned tokens
    ✅ Total spent tokens
✅ Current balance (earned – spent)
✅ Syncs with the bot to display your status

📝 Required Headers

The loggedTracker tab must include these headers in cells B7:F7:

  1. SUBMISSION – Description of the contribution

  2. LINK – Link to the submission or relevant content

  3. CATEGORIES – e.g., Art, Writing, Moderation

  4. TYPE – Either earned or spent

  5. TOKEN AMOUNT – Number of tokens earned or spent

⚙ Automatic Calculations

The tracker automatically:

  • Adds all “earned” entries

  • Subtracts all “spent” entries

  • 💰 Updates your current balance in real-time

  • 🔗 Syncs with the Tinglebot to reflect your latest balance

🛠 Setup Process

  1. Make a copy of the tracker template for your personal use

  2. Share it with the bot service account:
    tinglebot@rotw-tinglebot.iam.gserviceaccount.com

  3. Use /tokens setup to connect your tracker to the bot

  4. The bot will log new earnings automatically

💳 Checking Your Balance

  • Use /tokens check to view:

    • Current balance
