Whisper his name once. Never twice.
There are stories they don’t tell at court.
Whispers shared between broken mirrors and fading lanterns.
Stories of Uth'taal—the one who parts the veil, who deals in freedom for a price no one understands until it’s already paid.
If you’ve found this page... perhaps it’s already too late to turn back.
✦ The Riftwalker
Uth'taal is no mage. He’s not a priest.
He is something older. Hungrier. He calls himself a businessman, but do not mistake him for a merchant.
His method of passage is unnatural. Forbidden.
He works with shards of shattered twilight mirrors, laced with enchantments that snarl and flicker in protest.
The rift he opens is no gateway—it is a wound in the world, and stepping through it is an act of faith... or madness.
“You won’t like how it feels.
You’ll like what’s on the other side even less.”
Those who cross tell of whispers from the void.
Of falling endlessly.
Of hearing their own voices say things they never said.
Some emerge with scars that don’t bleed.
Others come through glowing faintly, or forgetting the names of their mothers.
✦ His Price
Uth'taal does not take rupees.
He takes what matters.
He takes what hurts.
A memory — perhaps your first kiss, or the face of your sibling.
A shadow — not all of it, just enough to make you lose yourself under the moonlight.
A piece of your name — you’ll still answer to it, but it won’t feel quite right anymore.
An heirloom, a secret, a promise you haven’t made yet.
Every trade is different. Every price is permanent.
“Give me something you’ll miss.
Or something you haven’t missed yet.”
✦ Notes for the Foolish
Uth'taal doesn’t care who you are. Royalty, orphan, murderer—it’s all the same to him.
He never asks your name. But it will feel like he already knows it.
You may arrive in Hyrule injured, cursed, glowing... or simply wrong.
He always smiles when you step through.
Whether or not you survive is your concern.
“Some find their freedom in his rift.
Others lose themselves entirely.”
✦ Where the Rift Opens
These are not random landings.
Each crossing follows strange, spiritual pathways and deposits the traveler near ancient nexuses—shrines lost to most of Hyrule.
🌲 Vhintl — Spring of Courage
You may stagger into the cliffs of the Dragon’s Maw, your bones aching and lungs burning as unseen things watch from the shadows.

❄ Inariko — Spring of Wisdom
The veil parts beneath a snow-choked sky. The cold sinks into your thoughts before your flesh. You must move quickly, or not at all.
🔥 Rudania — Spring of Power
A place once believed lost, rediscovered by those bold—or foolish—enough to come through the rift. The ruins hum with slumbering force.
