The Roots Economy
The Roots of the Wild economy is a trade and barter system that features item-for-item trading between characters, gifting items to other characters, as well as a shop system allowing members to earn Tokens by selling their spare items, and spend Tokens to purchase extra materials and items.
This guide will teach you about each part of the mechanic, and the necessary commands to execute them.
Trading and Gifting
Use the following commands in the appropriate #Village Townhall channel
Starting a Trade
To start a trade, use the /economy trade command, and fill in the item a sections at minimum. When you are starting a trade, you do not need to worry about a Trade ID.
Once you start the trade, the member you are trading with will be notified of the trade, and they will complete the next step.
Completing a Trade
To complete a trade, use the /economy trade command, and fill in the item a sections at minimum. To finalize the trade, copy and paste the Trade ID from the initial trade post to complete the trade.
Gifting
If you want to simply give an item to another character without the trade command, use the /economy gift command, and fill in the item a sections at minimum, and send the command.
Trade and Gifting Don'ts
Spirit Orbs cannot be gifted or traded.
Equipped items cannot be gifted or traded.
Transfer
Use the following command in the appropriate #Community Board channel
Transferring items allows you to move items between your own characters, regardless of what village they're in. Use the /economy transfer command, and fill in the item a sections at minimum.
Village Shop
Use the following commands in the appropriate #Community Board channel
Village Shop are a way for members of Roots of the Wild to offload any extra materials and items in their inventory to a shop that can be accessed by anyone, anywhere, anytime. Items can be exchanged for Tokens, and Tokens can be exchanged for items. Characters with the Crafting bonus can benefit from making use of the /economy shops-sell command as part of their Job Perk.
Viewing the Shop
Use /economy shop-view to view the Village Shop in an ephemeral post in the Roots of the Wild Discord server.
The Village Shop can also be viewed through the Tinglebot Dashboard.
Selling to the Shop
Use /economy shop-sell to sell an item, or multiples of the same item and exchange them for Tokens.
Buying from the Shop
After finding an item in the Village Shop that you want to buy, use the /economy shop-buy command to purchase one, or multiple of the item you have chosen in exchange for Tokens.
