What Are Help Wanted Quests

Help Wanted quests are daily tasks posted by villagers in each of the three villages—Rudania, Inariko, and Vhintl. These quests give adventurers a chance to help their community while earning recognition and rewards.

New quests are posted throughout the day at scheduled times!

How to Use the Command

Basic Quest Completion

Use: /helpwanted complete [character name] [quest ID]+
(Must be done in the original village town hall channel where the quest was posted)
Works for: Item, Escort, and Crafting quests

Monster Hunt Quests

Use: /helpwanted monsterhunt [character name] [quest ID]
(Must be done in the original village town hall channel where the quest was posted)
Works for: Monster Hunt quests only
Cost: 1 stamina per attempt

Quest Types

🪵 Item Quests

What you do: Gather specific items from your inventory and deliver them
Requirements: Must have the requested items in your inventory
What happens: Items are removed from your inventory upon completion
Example: "Hank needs 3 Cucco Feathers for his allergy remedies"

⚔️ Monster Quests

What you do: Fight dangerous creatures threatening the village
Requirements:
- Must be in your home village
- Must have at least 1 stamina
What happens: Battle multiple monsters in sequence (KO = quest fails)
Cost: 1 stamina per attempt
Example: "Defeat 5 Bokoblins (tier 1) threatening the area"

🚶‍♂️ Escort Quests

What you do: Safely guide a villager from one village to another
Requirements & Steps:
1. Be in your Home Village, the origin of the Escort Quest.
2. Travel to the destination village where the NPC needs to go
3. Use /helpwanted complete with the quest ID while in the destination village
4. That's it! The quest completes immediately when you're in the right location

Example: "Escort Sue to Inariko to deliver fresh fish"
- Quest village: Where Sue starts (could be Rudania or Vhintl)
- Destination: Inariko
- You need to be in Inariko to complete this quest
  
  🔨 Crafting Quests

What you do: Create specific items yourself and deliver them

Requirements: Only crafted items (not gathered) count. Your OC must craft the item.
What happens: Crafted items are removed from your inventory upon completion
Example: "Create 2 Iron Swords for the blacksmith"

Location Requirements

For Most Quests:

Must be in your home village to complete quests
Must use the town hall channel where the quest was posted
Use /travel to move between villages

For Escort Quests:

Begin in your home village
Travel to the escort NPC’s village first
Then escort them to the destination village
Must use the town hall channel in the destination village to complete

Visitors Cannot Complete Quests:

Only natives of the village can complete Help Wanted quests

Limitations and Restrictions

Daily Limits

1 quest per day
Resets at midnight EST

Weekly Limits

3 quests per week
Resets on Monday at midnight EST

Character Requirements

Cannot be KO’d (0 hearts)
Cannot have active debuffs
Cannot have blight effects preventing monster fighting (for monster hunts)
Must have at least 1 stamina (for monster hunts)

Quest Schedule

Quests are posted at random times throughout the day. Check the town hall channels regularly so you don't miss your chance!

⏳ Expiration:
Quests expire at midnight EST every day and cannot be completed after that time.

What Happens When You Complete a Quest

Quest is marked as completed
Completion counts toward your daily/weekly limits
Quest embed updates to show it's complete
You receive a success message with details
Monster hunts: May receive loot from defeated monsters

50 Completed Help Wanted Quests Reward

If you complete 50 quests with an OC, you can report this mighty accomplishment using the command '/helpwanted exchange' and may have that OC receive either a Spirit Orb OR you may gain a Character Slot for yourself! This exchange would be done in the #Community-board channel.
