Job Perk: VEnding
⚠️ IMPORTANT:
Vending is now transitioning to a bot-based system. The old method (forms + manual messages) is no longer valid.
A new /vending command is coming soon to handle all vendor setup, credit, stock, and transactions automatically.
In the meantime, all standard vending rules still apply. Read below to understand how it works.
What Is Vending?
Vending is a Job Perk mechanic that allows players to run in-world shops. While Hyrule doesn't use traditional currency, vendors exchange goods, services, and favors for payment.
Vending replaces NPC village shops. Characters must visit player-run shops to buy gear and materials!

🗓️ Monthly Vending Cycle
Every Month (1st–5th):
Collect 500 Point Credit

Pick items from that month’s stock list. Stock changes each month and may include rare, limited items.Confirm & Track
Once approved, vendors add new items to their Vendor Sheet (separate from their inventory sheet).Set Up Shop
Vendors may advertise in the#marketplacechannel as a thread.
Bot-based vending forms will replace manual posts soon!
💰 Buying From a Vendor
To buy from a vendor, players must:
Visit the vendor's shop thread in
#marketplaceRP or post about the trade
Use a barter form (will be automated by the bot later)
Valid Payment Types:
Goods (items/materials)
Tokens
Art (player-provided)
Want to request unusual payment? Ask a mod first.
🛍️ Shop Inventory Rules
You can save points month to month—spending all 500 is not required
Raw materials (e.g., apples) stack up to 10 per slot
Crafted or unique items (e.g., armor) use 1 slot per item
Example: 10 apples = 1 slot, 2 weapons = 2 slots
Vendors cannot use or remove items from their shop freely.
If you want an item from your own shop, you must buy it at the item's official ROTW sell price.
This applies to:
The vendor character themselves
Any other character you own (non-vendor alts) attempting to buy from your shop
💡 Yes, you have to pay yourself. Vendors don’t get free access to their own stock — all sales must be tracked and processed fairly like any other transaction.
🎒 Shop Pouch Upgrades
There are three tiers of shop pouches available to vendors. These expand how many items your shop can hold.
Bronze Pouch
Holds up to 15 items
Costs 1,000 tokens
This is your starting tierSilver Pouch
Holds up to 30 items
Costs 5,000 tokens
You must already own the Bronze Pouch to upgradeGold Pouch
Holds up to 50 items
Costs 10,000 tokens
You must already own the Silver Pouch to upgrade
🔁 Note: Pouches do not stack. Upgrading replaces your previous pouch.
You must have the previous tier before purchasing the next.
🚫 If You Don’t Have Room…
If your shop is full when the next month begins, you cannot purchase new stock until space is freed.
📉 Changing Jobs
If a vendor character changes jobs, all shop stock is lost and returned to the town hall. Choose wisely!
📦 Limited Stock Items
Rare or special items are first-come, first-serve and rotate monthly. Plan your purchases!
